Lureesa is more than just an app; it's a dedicated ecosystem designed to foster independence, maintain cognitive health, and provide a steady presence in an often inconsistent world. Below is a deep dive into the tools we've built for you and your family.

1. The Core Experience: Always-On Companionship

At the center of Lureesa is a companion that never judges, never gets moody, and—most importantly—never "ghosts."

  • Fixed Personas: We don't use unpredictable AI. Lureesa features fixed personalities with consistent voices. You always know who you're talking to.
  • The "Gentle" Standard: Every user has free, unlimited access to our "Gentle" persona—a warm, empathetic companion inspired by the kindness of our founder's grandmother.
  • Voice-First Interaction: Designed for ease of use, you simply tap to speak. Lureesa listens, understands, and responds with high-quality text-to-speech. (Manual text-input mode is currently in development).
  • Bilingual Support: Full support for both English and Spanish, including the user interface and the AI's spoken voice.

2. Memory Reflection: Your Life's Recorder

Inspired by a personal journey with dementia, this feature is designed to keep the mind engaged and stories alive.

  • Curated Prompts: Lureesa offers "Memory Sparks"—carefully selected questions (not randomized AI chatter) designed to trigger reflection.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Choose to receive a prompt daily, weekly, or monthly at a time that suits you.
  • Interactive Dialogue: If you accept a prompt, your companion will guide you through a conversation about your life, acting as a digital recorder for your most cherished memories.
  • Total Control: Reflection sessions can be turned off in settings or skipped at any time.

3. Smart Reminders: Offloading the Mental Load

We all forget things. Lureesa is here to hold those details for you so you can focus on living.

  • Verbal Entry: Simply tell your companion, "Remind me to take my vitamins at 8:00 PM," and it's done.
  • System Integration: If the app is closed, reminders appear as system notifications. If the app is open, your companion will verbally remind you. (Currently in development)
  • Manual Backup: For those who prefer it, reminders can also be set manually with a traditional date and time picker.

4. Shared Support: Device Pairing & Privacy

We believe the cost of technology shouldn't fall on those on a fixed income. Our unique pairing system allows families to support one another.

  • The Main Account: A family member can manage the subscription and billing from a primary account.
  • Seamless Pairing: Using a simple six-character code, additional devices (like a parent's or grandparent's phone) can be linked to the main account without needing a separate username or password.
  • Privacy by Design: While accounts are linked for billing, data is isolated. The main account cannot see chat histories or personal memories of paired devices.
  • Peace of Mind: The main account can see the "Last Online" status of paired devices—offering a quiet way to ensure a loved one is up and using their phone without intruding on their private conversations.

5. You Control Your Data

Your data is yours. We provide three levels of transparency:

  • AI Memory Toggle: By default, memory is OFF (a blank slate). Turn it ON to allow the AI to remember past contexts for a more personalized friendship.
  • Clear History: At any time, you can permanently erase all conversations and memories to start fresh.
  • Account Deletion: We make it simple to leave. Deleting an account permanently wipes all data across the main account and all paired devices. No recovery, no "ghost" data.

6. Personalization & Efficiency

Tailor the experience to your environment:

  • Gender Selection: Choose the voice profile (Male/Female) that feels most comfortable.
  • Local Voice Mode: Use your device's built-in voice to save bandwidth and increase response speed—perfect for when you're away from Wi-Fi.
  • Silent Mode: Turn off all audio for quiet environments. Your companion will communicate via text only.

7. Plan Comparison

While the "Gentle" experience is always free, our Standard and Premium tiers offer more variety and higher-tier technology.

  • Standard: Unlocks the "Playful" and "Direct" personas, increases reminders to 10, and expands device pairing to 5.
  • Premium: Our highest tier, offering 10 paired devices, unlimited reminders, and the most realistic, emotionally expressive voice technology available.
